Digital immersive gallery ‘Teroka’ set to debut at KLIBF

The Digital Immersive and Explorative Gallery “Teroka” is set to make its debut at the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) from May 23 to June 1.
National Book Council director Mohd Khair Ngadiron said the gallery, held in conjunction with Malaysia’s Asean 2025 chairmanship, is designed as an experiential journey through time featuring curated visuals, archival materials, and cutting-edge digital installations.
He said the gallery explores the evolution of Malaysian literary traditions, from ancient manuscripts to the dynamic development of the national book industry, while celebrating the intellectual legacy that continues to shape the South-East Asian region.
“This immersive gallery invites visitors to engage with the foundational wisdom of early thinkers from Malaysia and South-East Asia, rediscover the nation’s soul through storytelling, and envision the strategic aspirations of Malaysian literature on the global stage,” he said in a statement.
Located at Bilik Labuan, Level 5, World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), the gallery features a main exhibition space, the Teroka foyer, a book corner showcasing the best Malaysian books from 2023 to 2025, and an activity area where visitors can create their own pantun and take part in quizzes. – Bernama
